Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Golgi, an email client operated by ZN Labs, LLC (DBA Golgi), a Maryland limited liability company. By creating an account you agree to them.
The service
Golgi connects to your existing email account and provides an email client with additional features for commercial real estate professionals, including automatic identification of properties marketed to you.
Golgi is currently in private pilot. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable from time to time. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it; if we discontinue the service altogether, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to connect the mailbox you connect.
If you connect a mailbox belonging to an employer, you confirm you are permitted to do so. Some organisations require administrator approval before a third-party application may access company mail, and obtaining it is your responsibility.
Tell us promptly at hello@golgimail.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Fees
Golgi is free during the private pilot. If we introduce fees, we will tell you before they apply to you, and you may stop using the service rather than pay.
Your content
Your email and the property records derived from it are yours. We claim no ownership of them. You grant us only the permission necessary to operate the service for you — to store, process, display and transmit that content on your behalf, and to allow the service providers named in our privacy policy to do the same on our behalf.
You are responsible for having the right to give us that permission for the mail you connect.
Feedback you send us about Golgi may be used without restriction or obligation to you. Do not send us feedback you consider confidential.
Acceptable use
Do not use Golgi to send unsolicited bulk email, to violate the law, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours. Do not attempt to circumvent the service's security or rate limits, resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.
You may not use Golgi in breach of export control or sanctions law, or if you are subject to such sanctions.
Accuracy of automated processing
Golgi identifies properties and extracts details from email automatically, including by sending message content to an AI provider as described in our privacy policy. This processing will sometimes be wrong. Property information shown in Golgi is provided as an aid and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for an investment, leasing, lending, or other business decision. Always verify against the source document.
Golgi is not a broker, lender, appraiser or adviser, and nothing in it is investment, legal, tax or valuation advice.
Availability and warranties
Golgi is provided as-is and as-available. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that automated property identification will be accurate or complete.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZN Labs, LLC (DBA Golgi) is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold ZN Labs, LLC harmless against claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your connecting a mailbox you were not permitted to connect.
Termination
You may stop using Golgi and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, and will give notice where we reasonably can.
If we terminate your account, you may request an export of your data, including your property records, before it is removed; your data is then deleted on the same timetable as a deletion you initiate yourself, within 30 days.
On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive do survive — your content permissions to the extent needed to complete deletion, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and the governing law and disputes sections.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what we access and what we do with it, and forms part of these terms. Business customers may request a data processing agreement.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
Talk to us first. Before starting formal proceedings, contact us at hello@golgimail.com and give us 30 days to resolve the matter.
If that fails, the state and federal courts located in Maryland have exclusive jurisdiction, and both parties consent to venue there. Each party waives any right to a jury trial and to bring claims as a class action, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
General
These terms, with the privacy policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Nothing here creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect, and update the date at the top. Continuing to use Golgi after that means you accept the change.
